Can Kinesiology and Energy Healing help you?

Below is a sample of issues that my clients present with. If any of these things sound familiar, then my integrated therapeutic approach could help you.

I specialise in helping people who are experiencing recurring pain, persistent symptoms and chronic health problems that have rumbled on for years — as well as those who have lived with postural imbalance, anxiety or overwhelm for a long time.

Using Kinesiology and Energy Healing, we can help your body to find immediate relief, whilst also exploring the patterns that may lie behind your symptoms.

"My back keeps going out."

"Pain disturbs my sleep and I wake up feeling stiff."

"One hip or knee always seems to hurt."

"I'm always tired, even after a night's sleep."

"I can't remember how it feels to be really well."

"I've tried lots of things. The problem keeps returning."

"My body reacts to everything. I feel stressed all the time."

"I struggle to switch off. I'm 'on' all the time until I crash and collapse."

Kinesiology and Energy Healing offer a different way to understand pain

Stepping stones symbolizing understanding and moving forward

Kinesiology helps you understand where your pain is coming from.

Recurring pain is rarely just about the place that hurts. When you come for a kinesiology session we'll look at how your body is working as a whole to understand the patterns of movement, compensation and tension that may be keeping the problem going.

Find where the pattern began.

Sometimes the cause of pain is obvious. Sometimes it's an old injury, long-term stress or a way of moving that your body quietly adapted to years ago. Touch for Health Kinesiology allows us to look beyond the symptom, so we can begin to uncover what's driving it.

Energy Healing helps your body to let go and embrace change.

Energy healing can be a powerful way to help your nervous system and muscles release patterns they no longer need to hold, allowing your body to rediscover a more balanced way of functioning.

I combine therapeutic treatment systems to promote lasting change.

In our therapeutic sessions, the aim isn't simply temporary relief. By changing the patterns that keep recreating the problem - and helping you understand how to support your body between sessions - we create the best opportunity for lasting improvement.

What kinds of people benefit from this therapeutic approach?

Kinesiology and energy healing may appeal to you if:

  • You experience persistent pain that keeps coming back

  • You have a recurring injury or weakness

  • Your pelvis is misaligned (resulting in lower back pain and instability)

  • Your nervous system is dysregulated

  • You are a highly sensitive person and/or neurodiverse and often feel overhwhelmed

  • You are recovering after surgery or an injury

  • You have tried several approaches and want to understand more about how your body and mind are interacting

What happens in a treatment session?

1. Understanding the context

Before we meet, you'll complete a health questionnaire.

This gives you an opportunity to think through all the various aspects of your health and wellbeing. It may be the first time you've explored your whole heath story in one go. It often allows us to make connections that would otherwise be missed.

2. Listening to your story

We'll begin with a conversation about your health, previous injuries, surgery, significant illnesses and, where relevant, important life events that may have influenced how your body has adapted over the years.

Sometimes people experience real lightbulb moments as connections emerge between things that previously appeared unrelated.

3. Seeing the patterns

While people usually arrive with a specific pain, the problem rarely exists in isolation. We'll start by looking at the whole picture of how your body is functioning today.

I'll observe your posture and movement and use gentle muscle testing to explore patterns and adaptations that your body may be making in order to cope.

4. Working with your body

Your body has probably spent years building patterns of adaptation and compensation. Unwinding these patterns needs to be gentle and responsive. I am guided by your body on where to begin and how fast to work.

I think of it as "peeling away layers" one at a time, allowing your body time to adapt to the changes.

5. Noticing what changes

As we work, I will encourage you to notice even subtle shifts in the way your body feels, or how it moves.

Acknowledging change strengthens the results and encourages your mind to embrace what is happening so that the changes integrate more fully.

The outcome

Before you leave, we'll reflect on what we've discovered together.

You'll leave with a clearer understanding of your body's patterns, why they may have developed and what the next steps could be to support lasting change.

Every body has a story: Some real-life examples of the results of Kinesiology and Energy Healing with Hilary.

Questions people often ask about Holistic Therapy with Hilary Dancing

Can Kinesiology or Energy Healing help with persistent pain?

Many of the people who come to me for Kinesiology and/or Energy Healing have been living with pain for months or even years. Some have tried physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic treatment, massage, medication or exercise programmes. Others have been told that nothing more can be done.

Persistent pain is rarely just about muscles or joints. It often reflects a combination of physical, neurological, emotional and lifestyle factors that have become intertwined over time.

Rather than focusing only on where it hurts, when you come for
Kinesiology and/or Energy Healing with Hilary Dancing, we'll work together to build a clearer picture of what may be contributing to your pain and what is keeping it going. I can't promise that every person's pain will improve, but many clients experience reduced pain, easier movement and a better understanding of their body.

Just as importantly, people usually leave feeling more confident about what they can do to support their own recovery.

Can I have Kinesiology or Energy Healing alongside medical treatment or counselling?

The simple answer is: usually, yes, Kinesiology and Energy Healing can often complement other medical treatment or counselling. Although you should always check with your healthcare provider or counsellor before starting work with me.

If you are undergoing medical treatment, or you are recovering from surgery, it is important to share the full situation with me. We will then discuss how I can best support your recovery without my work interfering with other treatment. At the very least, I am usually able to help your body enter a state of deep rest and relaxation which optimises healing.

If you are having counselling, Holistic Therapy can support the process by helping your body to release old patterns, find greater ease and experience calm. This often helps to make psychotherapy more effective.

I'm not sure what's wrong. Can Holistic Therapy still help me?

You'd be surprised how often clients who come for Kinesiology or Energy Healing tell me that they aren't really sure what is wrong. Often they just sense that something doesn't feel right, or that they could feel better than they currently do.

You don't need a diagnosis or a clear explanation before coming for Kinesiology or Energy Healing. My role is to help you make sense of what's happening and identify the factors that may be contributing. Often, understanding the problem more clearly is the beginning of meaningful change.

Can you Kinesiology or Energy Healing help if I've already tried lots of other treatments?

Many clients who come to work with Hilary Dancing and Body-Mind Therapeutics have already explored physiotherapy, counselling, osteopathy, massage, medication, coaching or self-help programmes. Rather than replacing those approaches, we'll step back and look at the bigger picture to understand why the problem may still be there and what might be missing.

How much do I need to share about myself for Kinesiology or Energy Healing to work?

When you come for a Kinesiology or Energy Healing session, I invite you to share only what's helpful. The amount we talk depends on the kind of session you're having and what will best support you.

Coaching naturally involves more conversation as we explore your situation, patterns and goals together. Bodywork may involve very little talking at all. Some people find it helpful to put their experience into words; others don't. Both approaches can be equally valuable. You remain in control of what you share, and we'll only explore what's relevant to the work we're doing together.

Can online sessions really be as effective as meeting in person?

At Hilary Dancing Body-Mind Therapeutics, I offer both online and in-person sessions.

Online coaching sessions work particularly well for stress, burnout, decision-making, recurring life patterns and feeling stuck.

If your main concern is persistent physical pain or restricted movement, an in-person session may be the better place to begin.

If it feels appropriate, we can combine both approaches in my whole-person change programme to maximise the benefits of our work together.

I've already tried physiotherapy/osteopathy/massage/chiropractic/counselling. Why would Kinesiology or Energy Healing be any different?

What makes my Kinesiology and Energy Healing work different is that I'm less interested in asking, "What's the best technique?" and more interested in asking, "What's keeping this person stuck?"

Sometimes the answer lies in the body, sometimes in the nervous system, sometimes in unhelpful patterns of thinking or behaviour. And often it's a combination.

By understanding how those pieces interact, we can work with the underlying pattern rather than just chasing the latest symptom.

Can your holistic therapies support people who are highly sensitive or neurodivergent ?

Many of the people I support with Kinesiology, Energy Healing and Coaching describe themselves as highly sensitive and/or neurodivergent, although not everyone uses that label.

Rather than trying to make you less sensitive, we work on understanding your nervous system, reducing overwhelm and helping you use your sensitivity as a strength rather than seeing it as a flaw.

How do I know which Holistic Therapy I need for my symptoms?

When you come to work with me at Hilary Dancing Body-Mind Therapeutics, we start by exploring which kind of treatment is going to work for you. Some people know exactly what works for them and what they want. Others are unsure.

Two people might arrive with similar symptoms, but their bodies respond to different treatment styles. I begin by understanding your unique situation, so your sessions are shaped around you rather than around a formula.

What my clients say about working with me

This was the most practical coaching session I’ve had. Absolutely ideal for someone like me with loads of ideas and a mind racing at a hundred miles an hour. I’ve come away with a practical action plan for the next few weeks. Hilary is very thought-provoking, hugely knowledgeable and very inspiring.

Brooke, Data Analyst
Action planning

My body relaxed more deeply than it has in a long time and I could feel myself letting go of long-held tension. I left feeling calmer, looser, and more at ease. I would happily recommend Hilary to anyone struggling with persistent pain, tension, or stress.

Jim, Speaker and Presenter
Releasing pain and tension

I felt safe enough to explore things I don’t often put into words. I came away with new perspectives on how my body responds to stress and the world around me. I’d recommend her to anyone who feels highly sensitive, easily overwhelmed, or curious about understanding themselves more deeply.
