Based in the Newcastle area of north-east England, I provide practical workplace wellbeing workshops, coaching and therapeutic support to help organisations build healthier, more resilient teams. With a background in coaching, therapeutic bodywork and a body-mind approach to wellbeing, I help people understand the patterns that influence how they think, feel, behave and relate at work.
Rather than simply teaching people how to manage stress, I help them recognise what is driving it, and develop the skills and confidence to make meaningful changes before difficulties escalate into burnout, ill health or impaired performance. My approach brings together practical workplace strategies with deeper, lasting personal change.

Rather than just giving people tools to manage stress and stay well, my approach looks at what is driving the unhealthy pattern in the first place. My 14-year background in therapeutic bodywork allows me to help people see where their body and not just their mind is keeping them stuck in patterns of response they'd rather change.
Similarly, whilst acknowledging goals, performance and work habits, my coaching acknowledges how our emotions and nervous system interact. I help people move beyond simply knowing what they should do, to understanding why they struggle to create the change they want to see. And I help them develop the awareness, skills and confidence to get unstuck.
The aim isn't to wait until someone reaches burnout or becomes unwell. It's to help people recognise the early signs and underlying patterns while they still have the capacity to do something about them.

My approach to workplace wellbeing can be via either therapeutic work or coaching — and sometimes a combination of both.
Coaching provides space to think, make decisions and develop new ways of working, while my therapeutic bodywork can help people understand and shift patterns of physical tension and stress.
Everything is practical, grounded and focused on helping people function and thrive more effectively at work.
Coaching and therapeutic bodywork can be valuable for people at many different stages — from employees who are struggling with confidence, workload or working relationships, to highly sensitive or neurodivergent people who find conventional workplace environments challenging.
It can also support managers and leaders who are carrying significant responsibility and need to sustain their own effectiveness without running themselves into the ground.
My coaching looks at the whole person, not just the problem they bring to a coaching conversation. Thoughts, emotions, behaviour and the body are closely connected, so sometimes the most useful insights are not found through thinking alone.
My approach combines coaching with body-mind awareness and practical tools, helping people recognise patterns and make changes that are sustainable rather than simply learning to cope better.
Every coaching or therapeutic session is highly tailored to the individual: their needs, circumstances, strengths and the outcomes they want to achieve. Where the work is commissioned by an organisation, we will usually agree some overall objectives together, so there is clear alignment about what the support is intended to achieve.
Within that framework, the individual has the autonomy and confidentiality to explore what is most useful for them. The approach and process are adapted to the person, drawing on coaching, body-mind awareness and therapeutic techniques where appropriate, with the aim of helping them make meaningful and sustainable progress.
I offer individual coaching and therapeutic bodywork alongside talks and workshops, so support can be tailored to your organisation. This might mean a one-off workshop, a series of sessions for a particular team, individual support for selected employees, or a combination. We can start small and build around what your organisation and people actually need.
Yes. I offer engaging talks and interactive workshops that explore the human factors that influence wellbeing, confidence, relationships and performance at work.
Topics include:
Physical comfort at work: sitting standing and moving to prevent pain and improve mood
People-pleasing: breaking the habit of putting everyone else’s needs first
Perfectionism: moving beyond impossible standards and fear of getting things wrong
Working with high sensitivity: understanding and managing sensitivity in busy working environments
Presence and authority: finding your voice and being heard with confidence
Anxiety at work: understanding what drives it and developing practical ways to work with it
Time management: practical approaches to prioritising and delivery.
I can also tailor talks and workshops around the particular challenges facing your team, so the content is relevant, practical and immediately useful.
This was the most practical coaching session I’ve had. Absolutely ideal for someone like me with loads of ideas and a mind racing at a hundred miles an hour. I’ve come away with a practical action plan for the next few weeks. Hilary is very thought-provoking, hugely knowledgeable and very inspiring.
My body relaxed more deeply than it has in a long time and I could feel myself letting go of long-held tension. I left feeling calmer, looser, and more at ease. I would happily recommend Hilary to anyone struggling with persistent pain, tension, or stress.
I felt safe enough to explore things I don’t often put into words. I came away with new perspectives on how my body responds to stress and the world around me. I’d recommend her to anyone who feels highly sensitive, easily overwhelmed, or curious about understanding themselves more deeply.
