If you're frustrated by persistent pain or ongoing stress, anxiety and overwhelm I will help you make sense of your body's signals through therapeutic bodywork and coaching. So you can stop feeling overwhelmed by conflicting advice and make confident choices that support your health and wellbeing.
Together we'll uncover what's keeping you stuck and find a different way forwards.
Based at Oldgate Therapy Centre, Morpeth | In person and online support available.

What looks like "just" back pain, neck tension or another physical problem is often your body's way of signalling that something deeper has been building over time.
Perhaps it's not pain that brings you here, but anxiety, burnout, overwhelm or feeling stuck in the same unhelpful patterns, no matter how hard you try to change.

Your persistent pain, stress and overwhelm don't always sit neatly. Sometimes it shows up in your body. Sometimes it shows up in your thoughts, emotions, work, relationships. Oftentimes the same pattern plays out across all of them. My work brings together therapeutic bodywork and coaching to help you understand the underlying patter, not just treat the surface symptom.
My work is informed by Kinesiology and body-based work, alongside coaching that helps you make sense of what is happening to bring about lasting change.
You can work with me in person in Morpeth or online. The work always unfolds differently for each individual. Choose the approach that feels most appropriate for you

Over the years I’ve worked with people facing many different challenges.
Some came because of back pain or headaches. Others because of anxiety, burnout, exhaustion or life transitions.
At first these seemed like very different problems.
Gradually I noticed something surprising.
Although the symptoms were different, the underlying patterns were often remarkably similar. The body and mind were telling the same story from different perspectives.
That observation changed the way I work.
Rather than choosing between coaching or bodywork, I began integrating both.
Coaching helps us understand our patterns of thinking and behaviour.
Bodywork helps us notice what the body has learned to hold onto.
Together they offer a more complete picture of why we feel the way we do and how change can happen.
This was the most practical coaching session I’ve had. Absolutely ideal for someone like me with loads of ideas and a mind racing at a hundred miles an hour. I’ve come away with a practical action plan for the next few weeks. Hilary is very thought-provoking, hugely knowledgeable and very inspiring.
My body relaxed more deeply than it has in a long time and I could feel myself letting go of long-held tension. I left feeling calmer, looser, and more at ease. I would happily recommend Hilary to anyone struggling with persistent pain, tension, or stress.
I felt safe enough to explore things I don’t often put into words. I came away with new perspectives on how my body responds to stress and the world around me. I’d recommend her to anyone who feels highly sensitive, easily overwhelmed, or curious about understanding themselves more deeply.
